泰州机电高等职业技术学校 刘军
Hello, everyone. Today I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is the listening taken from《Environmental Protection》of Unit 15.
It is made up of four parts.
Part 1 My understanding of this lesson
The analysis of the teaching material:
This lesson is a listening course. It deals with a very popular topic and plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit.Ss can improve their listening and speaking abilities, learn more about pollution and protecting the environment. At the same time, we should get the students to understand some difficult words and sentences topractice their listening and speaking better. The Ss should do some reading and writing, too. Of course, the Ss should receive some moral education. Let the Ss understand how important it is to do what they can in our daily life to protect the environment..
Teaching aims:
1. Knowledge aim: Listening and talking about environmental pollution and environmental protection.
2. Ability aim: Analyse news and events
3. Emotional aim: Make the Ss love the earth and do something to stop it being polluted.
Key points / Teaching important points:
Listening and talking about environmental pollution and environmental protection.
Teaching difficult points:
1. Discuss the pollution of the sea
2. Discuss what people can do to protect the envronment.
Something about the Ss:
1. The Ss have known something about the serious pollution
2. They are lack of vocabulary.
3. They don’t often use English to express themselves and municate with others.
4. Some Ss are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes.
Part 2 My teaching theories, methods and aids
Before dealing with this listening, I’ll do my best to carry out the following theories: Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as director; Combine the language structures with the language functions; Let the students receive some moral education while they are learning the English language.
Teaching method:
Aural-oral method
Question-and-answer activity teaching method
Communicative teaching method
Comparative teaching method
Teaching aids:
